Hey @johnmu, hope you're having a good week. Quick (hopefully) question for you...

I met with a client last week and the question came up about Press Releases. They currently do quite well with PR in local and some national press, as well as some of their industry specific publications.

Each of the PR's are written in third person ready for the publisher.

They then rewrite these in first person for their own blog with a more friendly tone of voice. So it essentially the same subject, but not the same copy/style.

From an SEO point of view, would there be benefit to have a "Press" area, where each of the 'third person' articles are published verbatim prior to releasing to the publications?

what is everyoneโ€™s opinion of having a Mastodon chat like we used to do for #SEOchat on Twitter? #seo
Iโ€™d love it if @MordyOberstein would use Mastodon more. Still not sure why #SEOChat wouldn't work on the #Fediverse. What does a guy need to do to get a fellow Jew off a fascist platform!

People need to rethink "SEO". The kids aren't googling.

"About 40 percent of Gen Z โ€” those born between 1997 and 2012 โ€” prefers to discover information on platforms other than Google" - according to data presented...by Google.

If you're STILL not on TikTok, that's on you and your business. It's damn near 2025. No one is "feeling lucky".

Google it? People now are searching with TikTok or Reddit.

Users bemoan Google's declining utility in viral tweets and TikToks and trade information on more reliable methods of hunting down info.

@phillycodehound @MordyOberstein @simoncox Not sure "or are you chicken?" is gonna work here.

Things like #SEOchat take a tonne of work and prep so not surprising one would go where the audience is.

Can be a little chicken and egg (lots of chickens!) so we can help build the audience first then add fuel to the flame with chats etc. ๐Ÿ‘

#SEOChat needs to be moved to Mastodon. It's not that hard @MordyOberstein

Hell I'm help you if you can't figure it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear you make things more complex than it needs to be!

@markalves
I do like this idea of putting Social chats up as a blog post. I have done a couple in the past so might trawl back through my archives to get a post together! Also, sorry I missed this one - would have had something to add!
