Walking past a scrap metal yard and see these gorgeous blooms from a flowering quince.

ChaenomeleSpeciosa, aka Chinese quince or Japanese quince is a thorny deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub native to eastern Asia.

Like this one, the flowers are usually red, but may be white or pink.

Couldn’t check the fragrance as snotty nose atm, but will return in a week or so as I’m sure it’ll still be displaying proudly… and is in whiff distance! 😁
