🔶 Throwback time to last week’s intense and exciting stay with the Private Cloud ERP teams of our Support Center Brazil 🇧🇷! I was spoiled to return to Sao Leopoldo after my return from Brazil to Spain in 2009, and my only other visit in 2016 for the Support InnoJAM; and still the result exceeded my high expectations. The packed agenda covered… * Leadership exchange with the PRC ERP people managers, and the global functional leaders for MM Invoice Verification, LA Globalization Logistics and LA Globalization Finance * Meetings with the managers of our “neighbors” from Public Cloud ERP, and the Support Center and Labs leadership team * “Ask me anything” session all Private Cloud ERP Engineers, to add informal quality time to the more formal & focused meetings * Meeting each team for an exchange on what works well, what needs to be improved, and discussing any other relevant business * Meeting Technical-Functional Experts from different functional areas to listen to their valuable insights * Meeting our “lifesaver” colleagues (that on the other hand build on our technical expertise) from the Mission Control Center (MCC) * Taking time for discussing KCS with Support Team Coaches * Evaluating our collaboration with the co-located Development teams * Discussing innovation topics around AI and Automation * Very valuable “Go Gemba” sessions with engineers from each team * Last but not at all least, a very lively and insightful “Ask me Anything” session with the great interest group Women@PRC … complemented with valuable 1:1 meetings and innumerable informal conversations. Food 🥓 & Drinks🍹were (as expected and remembered 😉) sensational. And it was a quite unique, and also proud moment in my professional career to have a gathering with so many of the colleagues I had hired in 2007 when we started GSC Brazil from scratch, and meeting my "partners in crime" Bernd Harder and Sascha Zankel ! The biggest learning? A reconfirmation of the fundamental importance of clear, bidirectional communication “telling it like it is”, and the relevance of face-to-face meetings and human rapport.
