It does not follow the honed structure of later lawyer shows -- lots of digressions and side adventures. I really have no idea where each case is going and Rumpole is so supremely confident I find myself worried about his clients.

Bryan WrightI currently #amreading "#Rumpole and the Primrose Path" by John #Mortimer . By now, I've read more Rumpole stories than were ever adapted for TV, but no matter how many of these books I read I'll always see Leo McKern in my head while I'm reading them.
These are great cozy comfort reads for a cold day.
