My last #MosaicMonday for this year (I doubt anybody will be interested on the 25 Dec, unless is comes with cranberry sauce :-)): The Cosmological Mosaic in #Merida. One of the most outstanding mosaics ever produced in #RomanSpain, with an assembly of deities and personifications of Sea, earth & air worthy of a Baroque ceiling. but all on the floor in tiny mosaic tesserae mostly of glass. It is impossible to photograph well as a tourist so these photos are from the Spanish Antiquities Service.
