Aires algentes,
aroma conífero,
lana montesa.
Gran musgosa roca astral,
imaginario fractal.

Aquí hay un sentido doble. En español costarricense, «lana» significa tanto el tejido como «musgo». Esto se pierde en la traducción.

***

Cold airs,
coniferous aroma;
mountain wool.
Great mossy astral rock,
fractal imaginary.

There is a double sense here. In Costa Rican Spanish, “lana” means both the tissue “wool” as well as “moss”. This is lost in the translation.

*Hola* (hello) is pronounced the same as *ola*, which is a kind of wave (most commonly in reference to water). *Onda* is how “wave” is usually said in physics, for more general purposes (electromagnetic waves, etc.). However, *ola* is also used for certain atmospheric phenomena.

Espejo de agua,

Translation:

Water mirror,
motor vibrations;
no more reflection.

*Reflexión* means “reflection” in the psychical sense, not in the mirror sense, in which case it's *reflejo*. Since both share the same root, it's playful wording. *Playful* wording. *Hai*-ku.

— Cōgitō ergō quaerō. Quaerō ergō legō. Legō ergō sum.
— Pienso, luego busco. Busco, luego leo. Leo, luego existo.
— Je pense, donc je cherche. Je cherche, donc je lis. Je lis, donc je suis.
— I think, therefore I seek. I seek, therefore I read. I read, therefore I am.

But more to the point:

> Cōgitō ergō quaerō. Quaerō ergō legō. Legō ergō sum.
> Scrībō ergō sum.
> A conjuncture of poetry, philosophy and science fiction.

Typography substitutes where I would otherwise use italics:

_This Example_ is for titles of free-standing works, like books, films, paintings, etc.
*This example* is for emphasis in what I say, or to indicate the author of a text I quote uses italics for emphasis in the source.
This is humorous.
