Good Morning #Canada
Happy Birthday to Robert Bateman who turns 93 today. Bateman was influenced by the #GroupOfSeven and started his career painting abstract nature scenes. In the mid-60s he switched to his current style realism and in 1976 quit teaching to become a full-time artist. For the next several decades there was no more famous Canadian painter or recognizable art. Incredible talent who continues to paint today.
