@JuliaBarrell Many already do. The hard part is reaching those who don't, either directly, or indirectly (via media, political influence etc). And then to policy...and then on implementation of good policy.

Wales has declared a nature emergency for years; partial success on policy but it still needs politicians who are prepared to buck the trend to implement. #LeeWaters was a truly stand-out example - 20mph default, #RoadsReview etc

Cars and roads in Wales – The National Infrastructure Commission for Wales

£16.3bn is needed to fix the backlog of local road repairs.

Instead of spending £billions on roads like the Lower Thames Crossing and Stonehenge Tunnel, the Government should focusing on properly maintaining what we already have!

Potholes: Roads in England and Wales at 'breaking point'

A new report says the rate of pothole repairs in England and Wales has reached an eight-year high.

BBC News

With the world speeding towards rising seas, bigger storms and hotter temperatures, the latest verdict from the courts won't help us cut emissions quickly enough. New roads cannot keep getting a free pass.

Well done @DrAndrewBoswell_CEPP for leading the fight

RT @WGTransport: For years we’ve tried to beat traffic by building more roads. It hasn’t worked.

Around the world, building more roads and lanes has resulted in more traffic.

That’s why we are going to do things differently in Wales. #RoadsReview

Tonight I’ve been moved to tears of gratitude to Lee Waters MS, deputy minister for climate change at the Welsh Government, for having the courage and vision to get whole heartedly behind the Wales #RoadsReview . Building new roads to maintain the car dominated status quo is manifestly incompatible with driving down carbon emissions from transport, but it takes a rare & very brave Govt Minister to act like it. Absolutely heroic 🙏⭐️✨ https://www.gov.wales/roads-review-welsh-government-response
