My favourite building in all the world, Såheim power plant in Rjukan, Norway. Designed by Thorvald Astrup and Olaf Nordhagen, it begun working in 1916. This tiny detail from the mammoth power station can't convey the greatness of this beautiful art nouveau industrial plant with its asymmetrical beauty and its countless details that are there for aesthetic purposes only. They don't make'm like this anymore.

This building is now officially my crash priority overdrive favourite in all the world. The Såheim hydroelectric power station in Rjukan is larger than the pyramids, prettier than the Taj Mahal and more imposing than ... just about everything. This massive structure was erected in just two years and is a prime example of Art Nouveau style buildings. Quite unprepared, I came to Rjukan -- and was blown away in several spectacular directions. The town has so many, wildly different things to offer. I want to go back there.

#Tinn #Rjukan Kom inn melding om skadeverk på 5 biler. Dette hendte i natt. Ingen patrulje i området da. Patruljen i Rjukan har vært på stedet nå og undersøkt. Det er sikret spor og opprettes sak. Skadene var stort sett at speilene var knekt av.
