In our Sunday animations in the #culturalHeritage centre, I finished my #visibleMending project: a #secondHand jacket with a completely scuffed collar. For a better look I fixed 2 more patches. All people were very curious. Then the reactions:
⭕️ I would never dare to wear s'th with patches.
⭕️ I never had the time (but they have time for TV, social media etc.)

The second Saturday of the month is Repair Cafe day and I love it. I’m one of a team of menders that will try to fix most broken or damaged items that people bring in. Today I fixed a 70 year old Bri Nylon Macintosh, it was the owners grandfathers and had also been worn by her father and was still being worn by her. It’s been repaired a number of times over the years and I added to that when I fixed up some more seams. #RepairCafe #BriNylon #RepairVintageClothes #mending
