Went for a stroll this morning before the worst of the muggy set in and was rewarded with an entire symphony of ghost pipes crowding the trail on both sides, so many it was hard not to step on them. I took so many photos. ☺️

Also, almost lost in their shadow, we found spotted wintergreen, one in full bloom. And for the grand finale, we stumbled upon a hidden glade of red raspberries (identified by PlantNet as wine raspberries.) Have no idea where they came from, but we deeply appreciate the addition to our woods. 😊 πŸ™

One of my #RedRaspberries has revealed itself to be of the ever-bearing variety, after I got berry educated and changed my care routine. Depending on the variety and your specific climate, ever-bearing berries may make fruit for longer periods in the summer or can produce a second/fall crop. These fruiting canes began to grow in June, when the canes that grew after last winter were fruiting.
