Zuleyka MabelSometimes I feel like people mostly pretend to read Black authors. I am endlessly quoting Assata, Angela Davis, James Baldwin, Nikki Giovanni, Franz Fanon etc, and i am always disappointed when people have no ammunition to defend the poor, Black, exploited, immigrant communities in impoverished countries when they are under attack. This idea that you're on our side simply because its the decent thing to do feels like such a self-congratulatory action, like you're doing us a favor when in reality, privileged folks in the imperial core are so fucking indebted to us in the so called global south.
