I've been chatting with a guy in Bathurst with the goal of us becoming regular play partners. He's a tradie (an electrician, so now I just need a plumber to complete my set!) and is a bit of a Guy's Guy ™️. Like yes, I understand that the grammar is incorrect... but this tradie from regional Australia didn't assume that being told "they" meant anything other than using "they" was the right thing to do. There was no arguing, no "well actually..", no questions about what's in my pants.
