RED January? Completed it, mate.

Fatigue set in on Sunday, and I started getting a bit of knee pain on Monday, so I took it easy again this week in order to make sure I finished.

When I started I thought there would come a point when I'd struggle to drag myself out for a run, but that never happened; it just became something I did every day.

Half way through the month I thought I might continue the run streak beyond January, but the knee niggles mean I've decided to take a rest day or two, and then go back to my usual 5 day a week running schedule.

Weekly #REDJanuary update. Mixed it up a bit with short tempo and intervals this week. Didn't feel great on Wednesday but managed a short run regardless.

Weekly #REDJanuary update. Snow and ice have gone now, so I'm reducing the number of minimum-distance runs.

I had a long, tiring workday on Wednesday and a short run at the end of it made me feel so much better!

Weekly #REDJanuary update. There have been a lot of minimum distance runs due to the snow and ice, as well as some ongoing sleep issues, but I've still managed to get out every day so far.

I'm only going to do a weekly update of my #REDJanuary progress. Only 3 days in, but so far so good πŸ˜‚

I'm going to give RED January a try, with the goal simply being to run at least 1.6km per day (the shortest of my regular loops from home just happens to be exactly a mile).

Day 1 done; 4.72km.

Three weeks into #RedJanuary and I've jogged, walked, & biked every day.
Its about to get a bit more challenging as I'm in an airport hotel waiting for a flight out to a job in Tanzania. I'm looking forward to it, but the rest of January will seriously curtail my spare time & my ability to head out for jog. Instead, I'm committing to 30 minutes of Yoga a day, minimum, and I've even packed my yoga mat. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸŒ…
