Draining her precious bodily fluids for winter. #RD350LC #Motorcycle

Elsie is fixed. The final problem was a corroded and loose HT lead causing an intermittent loss of spark. The plug-in black box has fixed the temperature gauge so it now reads correctly with the wrong sensor.

I had forgotten how brutal the LC power band is.

< 5,000 RPM: bimbling along

I made it in to work on the newly-rebuilt #RD350LC Still running her in so it was a stately ride rather than a mad thrash. #Motorbike
The bike is being put together a lot faster now I have Stinky managing me. #Caturday #Cats #CatsOfMastodon #RD350LC
It looks like there's not much left of it, but this bike is actually more complete now than it's been for months. Everything shown is now fixed and assembled correctly, and once I have the parts for the wheels, I can actually finish building it and get it on the road! This poor bike has been bodged and broken over its 43 years until it was in the sorry state I bought it in. There was no part of the bike that wasn't wrong in some way. #RD350LC #motorcycle #vintage
The engine is back in again. This is progress. Anyone want to read an incredibly dull story about temperature sensors? #RD350LC #motorcycle
Fresh from the oven. Filling the house with the wonderful aroma of baked VHT paint. My barrels are re-lined, skimmed, painted, and ready to go. #RD350LC #2Stroke
What Dorrit doesn't know about #RD350LC engines isn't worth knowing. #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon #Cats
I've got my re-sleeved barrels, pistons, skimmed head, and new crankshaft back from PJME. Yay! Now to start putting Elsie back together. #Motorcycle #RD350LC #2Stroke
