A few days ago, I sent the first paper written for presenting a poster at a national symposium describing #cRCWA. Let's hope it will be accepted! #OpenSource #OpenScience #Photonics #RCWA
I made public today the repository of #cRCWA, a simulation software dedicated to #photonics. It can be used with diffraction gratings, photonic crystals, as other implementations of the #RCWA method. It can also provide PML for nonperiodic structures like optical #waveguides and handle bent structures. Written in C++, it can be used with a simple scripting language or as a module in larger Python scripts. Here it is: https://github.com/cRCWA/cRCWA #OpenSource #Physics #OpenScience

I got the final green light. The release of the tool, that is called cRCWA is planned for mid-January 2026. #photonics #simulation #RCWA
Is there anyone here who is interested in #photonics? If everything goes as expected, I will publish soom as open source a 3D #RCWA tool for the electromagnetic simulation of periodic and nonperiodic structures (#gratings, microstructured solar cells, dielectric #waveguides…). It is written in C++ and represents several years of research and effort. #electromagnetism #simulation
