Invest in a recently-off-lease workstation barebones (or CPU+RAM+disk) computer, with an OS that will NOT be chained to some dumbass, clueless board member, forcing LLM stuff for their immediate gain, leaving everyone stranded later.
Just sayin'.

Thinking that #RAMaggedon (https://www.theverge.com/tech/880812/ramageddon-ram-shortage-memory-crisis-price-2026-phones-laptops) is also functioning as a side channel attack on people’s attempts to claw back some autonomy by self-hosting (not just individuals, but business and governments as well)
Probably just a coincidence that the flash points for AI and US awfullness hit at the same time
