At the Abbey entrance known as Poet’s Corner #QueenCaroline was again refused entry to the #Coronation of #GeorgeIV & was escorted back to her carriage by Constables. After she submitted & left the area a large number of spectators blocked streets & smashed windows around #London in protest.

#Coronation of #GeorgeIV Soldiers from the FootGuard camped near #WestminsterHall with spectators arriving from 3am & Nobility arriving from 5. At 6.30am #QueenCaroline arrived in Dean’s Yard adjacent to #WestminsterAbbey causing an ‘extreme sensation’ when her entry was denied.
