A local First Nations language that was almost gone, has been recovered after some amazing and dedicated work. Welcome back pentl'ach (pronounced "PUNT-lutch”)

The most common reference English speakers in this area will have to the language is the name of the "Puntledge" river near Courtenay, BC.
