Wanna join the development team in charge of the official Python bindings for the Qt Framework? 🐍

We have an opening for the Qt for Python team, which is currently developing PySide and Shiboken! 💻

If you know C++, Python, and perhaps a bit of CPython internals,

Join us! https://www.qt.io/open-positions/python-and-c-software-engineer-all-levels

Happy to give an in person talk at @gnuhealth & Orthanc conference 2023 🎉

Spending a Saturday sharing experiences towards libre and open social and health focused projects is always a nice plan ❤️

Starting my first non-trivial side project... let's see how this goes! Queuing and scheduling software can't be that hard, right? RIGHT? 🫠

Starting concept: Go for infrastructure components (controller, proxy, worker), and Python + Qt6 for client interface (CLI/GUI). I'm thinking all intra-platform communication happens via gRPC?

#go #golang #python #qt #qtforpython #grpc #queues #scheduler #rendering

A lot of hard work by the whole Qt for Python team! I hope you enjoy the 6.5 LTS series 🐍

Qt for Python: the new 6.5 version is out!

Release blog post for the 6.5 version of Qt for Python, PySide, Shiboken.

Bummer 🫤 My talks for #PyConUS23 were not accepted. Will probably try to give them in other events though! If you think they could be a good fit for a meetup/community/conference, let me know!
"CPython Survival Kit: basic C concepts to understand Python better"
and
"Developing and maintaining a C++ Flavored Python Project"
Lots of #cpython, #cpp and #qt in them, mainly sharing things I have learn while being on of the #qtforpython maintainers. 🎉🎊 🐍
