Yay, finally got the #Q1Pro #3DPrinter working, after almost a month I think my brother and I have figured outa system to make it work for us. We will need sighted assistance, but with the awesomeness of #BeMyEyes, we will be able to print, which means my girl will be getting a meriad of prints in the near future! yay! 😁
#3DPrinting folks, I am writing because I wanted to know if anyone knows of a way to run an STL file and convert it in to a GCODE specifically to make it possible to run the calibration tests on the #Qidi #Q1Pro? Its hard to run the calibration tests if you can't see the screen, and because I am #Blind, its doubly hard to be able to run the calibration without sighted assistance so I am trying to find an easier way to do this and I figured people might have come up with easier ways just in case you don't have access to the screen or just don't feel like getting up tomanually use the screen to print.
Well today I hope to finally get the #q1Pro fixed. Finally continuing with the project I had been working on for a while now before the printer broke because I was stupid, so quite excited to make things work again, I have someone special in my life to gift! 😁 #3DPrinting
#3DPrinting folks, particularly anyone who might know #Python, I am looking in to possibly finding a way to make it possible to create a custom version of Klipperscreen that would be able to interact with the Orka Screenreader for linux. You see, the goal is to make it possible for a #Blind person to be able to use the touch screen of a printer like the #Qidi #Q1Pro for example without having to rely on Octoprint or other types of software to control there printer, instead using there printer directly via the touch screen alone. I don't know how possible this would actually be. I am thinking perhaps creating a UI that would be able to interact with the event handling for klipperscreen andseeing if it would be possible for Orka to interact with those events and read them out if they were properly labeled for acccessibility. Not sure how possible this is, but I figured I'd ask anyone more experienced if this is just a pie in the sky idea or not. Both Orka and Klipperscreen are created using Python, so I don't see how it couldn't be possible, Orka is pretty small, so it might not even be a strain on the resources of the printer.
Here's the situation for those who are interested, I have #OctoPrint for windows, I have been trying to connect it via #Moonraker as the bridge to my #Q1Pro which you might think would be easy, but it isn't. Why? Because, when I connect via my IP Address and port 7125, it resolves and I can load it just fine on my browser, but octoPrint can't connect to it, so #Moonraker works just fine and I have API access, but nope, fucking #OctoPrint just doesn't want to play ball and connect to it when I go in to the server settings. #3DPrinting literally any help would be appreciated, I just want to use my Printer accessibly as a #Blind person, but apparently that is too much to ask out of OctoPrint.
@octoprint Hi there, I am using OctoPrint for windows with my #Q1Pro and wondering if there is a way to connect OctoPrint to it, I can't seem to find a way to make it happen though and its a hell of a lot easier to use my printer with OctoPrint than with my screen as I am blind and OctoPrint makes an otherwise inaccessible printer actually accessible for a blind person to use. Any help at all would be apreciated.
I still wish I could get #OctoPrint to work with the #Q1Pro, but it doesn't seem like its going to happen any time soon which sucks because OctoPrint is way more accessible for the #Blind than #Fluidd.
#3DPrinting folks, just out of curiosity for anyone using Fluidd to control there printers, which Macro can I run that will clear the nozzle and unload the filament that I have in my printer? I can't unload the filament on my printer without sighted assistance otherwise but part of the reason I think my prints are all failing is because I keep not cleaning my nozzle beforehand, but it takes a significant amount of time each time to get my nozzle cleaned if I were to need sighted assistance to do so as I am #Blind and would need to use a service like Be My Eyes to do so,this would really help. Please boost. this is for a #q1Pro which I know has an ability to clean the nozzle automatically using the felt pads, but I can't run that without sighted assistance.
I was trying to SSH in to my #q1Pro to see if I could control it using the command line, but I don't know my printer password, lol. I did connect to it though, but still. #3DPrinting
Okay so the Millennium #puzzle came out absolutely perfect with no factoring, stringing or anything at all terrible whatsoever. I am so very happy, now that very special someone in my life is going to enjoy the puzzle which has been perfectly printed by the #q1Pro. About to make someone very excited for sure. yay! 😂 #3DPrinting #YuGiOh
