Particularly Sad RockHot take of the day: #PussinBoots2 is kinda overrated online. Not bad by any stretch, but not as hype as people say imo.
The things I see people praising about the movie are things I also love, but don't feel like they fit in the Shrek universe. Are the visuals awesome? Yes, but it also makes the movie less funny. The realistic and kinda gross style of Shrek was an important part of the film's comedy. Is the wolf badass? Yeah, because he's a Kung Fu Panda character who entered the wrong movie.
