Grabbed this #CD at a #thrift shop based on nothing but the cover and track listing hoping it would be fun and punky, and not some sort of millenial cringe.

Happy to report it's like The Dead Kennedy's meet They Might Be Giants.

The track "Technical" feels like a bit of an anthem for my fellow #fediverse nerds.

Zanjeer Album Release Show

Scherer 8, Saturday, April 4 at 08:00 PM GMT+2

We in Zanjeer are happy to announce for April 4th the release show for our new LP "Seher-e-Maqhoor" (Dawn of the Oppressed) . Zanjeer is a hardcore punk band from Germany that sings primarily in Urdu language that's native to Pakistan and India. Our lyrics address issues faced by the marginalized people of both the Global North as well as the Global South.

This event which will happen at Scherer8, is a donation based soli for victims of the ongoing colonial oppression in Balochistan, a region divided between Iran and Pakistan who's inhabitants face horrific circumstances and who's natural resources are plundered constantly.

We'll be joined by our friends in Snake Eater (Netherlands), Bobson Dugnutt (Italy), and fellow Berlin punks Mundo En Guerra.

Doors at 8, starts at 9.

A Henry Rollins kind of morning, listened to the lone S.O.A. EP shortly after getting out of bed 30 minutes late and then have been rocking the debut Rollins Band album since then.

Got two tests today, so need that punk rock motivation this morning.

Two Stories Away is a pop-punk band based in Berlin, Germany. The band's sound is bringing elements from 2000s pop-punk combined with melodic choruses with an authentic, darker edge. TSA is exploring feelings of emotional pressure, falling apart and searching, but also hope and escapism, and a sense of movement, all delivered unapologetically with and from the heart. Their music is heavily inspired by bands such as Blink-182, Simple Plan, Box Car Racer and Paramore, bringing a sound that's nostalgic and current at the same time. The band was formed at the end of 2025 and their debut EP is on the horizon in the spring of 2026.

Punk Girls. Die weibliche Geschichte des britischen Punk - Die ganze Doku | ARTE

London 1976.
