I've a phone with #signalapp installed, but it was outdated for a very long time. I was able to use signal from my computer, but not from my phone.

I've been able to update my android to a one recent enough to be able to install the latest signal app, on the same smartphone I used before, which still has the previous signal data on it.
But I've a message stating that my phone isn't registered anymore (I haven't attempted to register from an other phone) and I need to register again. Would it be safe to do so and to keep the previous discussions and contacts ?

Also I have registered a PIN that I've forgotten for a long time, would it prevent me to get back my account with my data ?

Does anyone have experience with Sekreto https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.example.sekreto/? It’s a new encrypted messaging app, and the user interface is in Esperanto or Russian. It seems similar to Threema and has a GitHub page: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/merge_requests. However, I can’t find any descriptions in Esperanto, so I assume that Russian is the main developer language, but that’s just a guess. I hope the community here knows more about it!
