Incarcerated Welsh rock singer Ian Watkins of #Lostprophets killed in another UK prison attack behind bars, in 2023 he'd been stabbed and held hostage by inmates. Two inmates have been arrested for the fatal stabbing this month.

He was 48 and had spent over a decade in prison thus far after a 2013 drug bust found pedophiliac materials on his electronic devices, and after police investigation, he admitted to a string of sex offences – including the attempted rape of a fan’s baby.

His former nu metal band signed by #SonyMusic still generates over 280,000 listeners a month on #Spotify, and at its peak appeared on video games, movie soundtracks like Spiderman 2, and toured top concert halls and had festival spots including the #ReadingFestival.

The group disbanded after his arrest, while the lead singer began serving a 29 year #prison sentence for his admitted sex offences.
