Ad agosto 2025, il fotografo di reportage Victor Moriyama ha immortalato un momento significativo alle porte di Rio Branco, capitale dello stato di Acre, situato nel remoto nord-ovest dell’Amazzonia brasiliana. In questa scena vibrante e contraddittoria, un gruppo di camion trasportava tronchi di legno appena tagliati dalla foresta pluviale, mentre allo stesso tempo gli operai di Primaz Energia Solar, un fornitore locale di energia solare, montavano pannelli solari sul tetto di un piccolo mercato.
Questa immagine fa parte della serie “Black Carbon”, realizzata in collaborazione con Climate Visuals e il Clean Air Fund. The Portrait of the Amazon Rainforest
In August 2025, photojournalist Victor Moriyama captured a significant moment near Rio Branco, the capital of Acre state, located in the remote northwest of the Brazilian Amazon. In this vibrant and contradictory scene, a group of trucks transported freshly cut logs from the rainforest, while at the same time workers from Primaz Energia Solar, a local solar energy provider, were installing solar panels on the roof of a small market.
This image is part of the “Black Carbon” series, created in collaboration with Climate Visuals and the Clean Air Fund. The series highlights the delicate balance between the exploitation of natural resources and the adoption of sustainable energy solutions, emphasizing the ecological challenges that Brazil faces in its fight against climate change.
