I notice that Gloucestershire Police's still use X as thier primary communications platform. They don't even bother with Bluesky or the Fediverse.
Personally I think a lot of the problems this country is facing right now can be traced back to Elon Musk and US Big Tech more generally.
Most Police forces have not heeded Home Office guidence issued in 2025 to diversify to alternative platforms.
Given Musk's recent antics regarding Nowak and Northern Ireland it's time to ban X imho. This is nothing to do with free speech it's harm causing abuse of power, plain and simple.
