A really interesting article, with excellent analysis of how the current Tory Govt has created a #Plunderstate.
In brief, it outlines that this has been created by a toxic brew of #ToryCorruption, their free market fundamentalism, law making that diminishes both investigation & protest and their “sovereign individual” ideology.

@RishiSunak Just so you know that while you permit this #PlunderState to continue, we are using HALF our customary electricity but paying TWICE AS MUCH as we paid last year. We are literally being fleeced. And you and #jeremyhunt are letting the energy companies do it. SME businesses are going to collapse. I find myself posting this again and again. The UK has only ever been a nation of immigrants - this is true of most islands. We are being robbed by the 1% and have basically become a #PlunderState. They are whipping up anti-immigrant sentiment to cover their tracks. My heart aches and aches.

👋 100%. But it took the REVOLTING Trump and these glyptapanteles UK Conservatives to do it.. Would MUCH rather #Equity and #Democracy had prevailed instead of #ExtremeCapitalism and the resulting #PlunderState and then I could have been posting about art and music 🫤
