Toujours à #Royan j'adore cette ville avec le modernisme positif d'après guerre. A chaque coin de rue se trouvent des merveilles et enfin les habitant*es en sont fières au lieu de se réfugier dans la nostalgie 1900.
Le marché est un ovni mi coquille mi kraken et tellement vivant avec des produits de première classe - courez y.

I cherish Royan for it's modern and positive post-war architecture. There are little and big wonders everywhere. Today the people of Royan are proud of this heritage and have ceased to seek their old nostalgic 1900 town.
This is the marvellous market, an UFO half sea shell half kraken - so very lively with first class farmer and fishers products. Go and visit.!

La suite des vacances à #Royan.
Le jardin bucolique d'une amie auteure, dont je recommande son dernier livre "Des aiguilles pleine la bouche", qui parle du processus de vider la maison d'une mère défunte et du souvenir multigénérationnel.
Un moment de bonheur matinal et calme.
Pour une fois j'ai laissé le croquis aux crayons d'aquarelle intact sans lavis, car le mélange des traits représente bien l'ambiance vibrante et foisonnante de ce jardin au mois de Juillet.

Another stop on our vacation, the garden of a friend in #Royan. A moment of early morning calm. For once I didn't wash the aquarelle pencil sketch. The blend of coloured strokes goes well with the bucolic ambiance of this natural garden last July.
