My proposed #HOPE talk builds upon and follows from last year's #PirateBox talk, where I want to teach people about rewilding the web, gaining digital sovereignty, and running their own servers and services.

I want to also touch upon BBSes, IRC, Usenet, Matrix, @VeilidNetwork, and more.

Part educational, part hacker punk energy. It's how I roll.

Let's fucking hack the planet.

Got a couple of free old phones from a friend! Let's install LineageOS on this LG V30!

Know what I'm thinking? LineageOS + Termux + Copyparty (which does run on Android!) + microSD card support = a Pirate Box in mobile device form factor!!

Made a couple of Projekt B00KM4RKs today! This is a portable little library, powered by an ESP328266 board, that has a captive web portal where you can grab books and docs and leave some as well!

This was created and developed by fellow townie and preem choom @TheSlugNoodle, and carries the spirit of the #PirateBox onward!  

I'll have one at #DC33 and #HOPE_16, and Slugnoodle will have some too!
