Notes From An Unspecified Time
After a couple of weeks fielding a few (un)usually stressful projects, I eventually managed to pull my usual stunt of falling ill during a short vacation, during which I mostly sip(...)

Notes for January 20-26
This week I took it easy over the weekend and put some things on hold to clear my mind from the industry’s chaos. The weather is pretty crappy and I felt like I needed to relax, so(...)

Wow this looks like a absolutely awesome #openhardware talk! and thankfully is on a different day to my own workshop about the #picotracker, so can't wait to see it!
Attached: 1 image Remember when #OpenHardware really was open? In this talk, continuing our #EverythingOpen Schedule Highlights, Simon Lees of #SUSE shows us how he approaches circuit bending - exploring old #circuits diagrams, service manuals and components to make something awesome. #electronics #soldering #MakerSpace 🗓️ Schedule: https://2024.everythingopen.au/schedule/ 🎟️ Register: https://2024.everythingopen.au/attend/tickets/
Continuing our #EverythingOpen Schedule Highlights, we present @maks with #PicoTracker.
In this #tutorial, you will (optionally) use #OpenHardware like the #Rpi Pico to build a fully open #GrooveBox, with only some simple through-hole soldering required. A Groovebox is a #MIDI-based digital musical instrument for producing live, loop-based electronic music.
There is an additional charge for the hardware here. Please register interest for ordering purposes: https://forms.gle/tv7eHAi7rXTAR7Qq7
Thank you for your interest in attending my Picotracker workshop at Everything Open 2024! To get the most of the workshop, having a Picotracker parts kit to build yourself or a pre-built kit is highly recommended. It would really help me a lot if those attendees who are interested in purchasing a kit or prebuilt unit, please fill in your details on this form and I can then have kits ready for you at the workshop to buy. To make them as accessible as possible to as many people as possible who would like to use a picotracker and possibly contribute to the project, I am subsidising the cost of the units a bit. The parts kit will be $40 and the assembled units will be $50. You can see more pictures and descriptions of the kit and assembled units at: https://www.tindie.com/products/32651/ Please note that because of the long lead time for Australia on some parts for the kits, I can only have a kit for you on the day if you sign up here. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you at the workshop! Maksim.
