Petaluma River II

The Petaluma River is typically a very lazy river with a nice calming affect for those that can find the time to sit and enjoy its presence.
There are only a handful of access points to the river, most of them in and around the town of Petaluma itself. This image was captured about halfway between the City of Petaluma and the San Pablo Bay.

Sunrise on the Petaluma River II

This is an image of the sunrise coming up over the Petaluma River in the town of Petaluma, Ca.
The river is as still as I have ever seen.
There are a few industrial buildings on the left bank of the river and some newly built condominiums on the right bank.
The sky has some deep yellows and oranges that are reflected into the still waters.

Morning on the River

Petaluma is located in Southern Sonoma County. In early days Petaluma has been primarily an agricultural city. In the earlier days Petaluma's main product was eggs. The Petaluma River was key to getting the product down river to San Francisco. I captured this early on morning as I was walking around town looking for photo opportunities.
