Brisbane St., named after Thomas Brisbane, governor of New South Wales, runs at a funny angle for this portion of it when compared to other surrounding and intersecting streets. This part used to be known as Padbury St. until sometime around 1917. At the point where I took this is a dog bone roundabout, rather than the usual circular roundabout. Behind me it stops at a footpath next to the Brisbane Hotel before continuing on to the west only connecting to Beaufort St on the west side, the footpath blocks access to this portion to the east.
