I turn it on while cooking, when the environment is loud enough that high fidelity doesn't matter and high frequencies are desirable, and discover quirky radio stations the world over, like Crooner Radio Gentlemen Drivers, from France.
It swallows the battery whole, though, so needs to be plugged when running just to keep it stable.
