"Great beauty slowly turning monstrous, obscene and rotten with decay." The LSO's Salome at London's Barbican, conducted by Antonio Pappano with Asmik Grigorian in the title role, and one of the greatest performances I've ever heard of the opera that converted me to opera.

weder enttäuscht noch abweisend. Man "kann" #Rachmaninow mal so interpretieren. Das Publikum war total begeistert.
Einer - ges. auf Mitte 40 - , der die ganze Zeit mit einer Damenbegleitung hinter mir treppab lief, wiederholte "das war toll" mind. 10mal. Ich habe auf ihn mit 👂🐘"Dambo-Ohren" gelauscht, um zu erfahren, wie er es begründet #Pappano #Rachmaninov2.
Leider sagte er nur "toll"😐 Deutsch-Note "5"🤪
