Dici Porsche e non puoi non pensare alla 911. Molto più di un'auto sportiva, un mito su quattro ruote capace di attraversare oltre sessant'anni di storia e uscirne ancora vincente per fascino sì, ma anche per tecnologia. Perché dal modello che tenne a battesimo la gloriosa sigla nel lontano 1963 ad oggi, di strada la sportiva di Stoccarda ne ha fatta eccome. Eppure è rimasta sempre come punto di riferimento non solo del prestigioso marchio tedesco, ma anche di tutti gli appassionati di auto sportive, di quanti non pretendono solo prestazioni ma stanno attenti anche al fascino intramontabile di automobili iconiche proprio come la Porsche 911.
E non è un caso se resta proprio e ancora questo modello, soprattutto in Italia, il core-business di un marchio che nel corso degli anni si è evoluto sfornando tanti nuovi modelli in linea con le tendenze del mercato. E allora ecco i SUV dal grande Cayenne, fino al più compatto Macan, ma anche soluzioni di approccio diverso: vedi la berlina Panamera o la Taycan. Insomma Porsche ha continuato a variare, ma avendo ben presente il suo punto di partenza imprescindibile: la 911 che era e resta la più venduta. In Italia nel 2025 ne sono state consegnati 2.544 esemplari segnando un anno record per la mitica sportiva.
E non poteva essere diversamente salendo a bordo della nuova 911 Targa 4S, una «belva» a trazione integrale con l'iconico tetto targa automatico, spinta da un 3.0 litri boxer biturbo da 480 cavalli (353 kW). Basta accenderla per entrare in un'altra dimensione: quel suono pieno ti riempie le orecchie di cavalli pur restando ferma. È una scelta di vita (lato economico a parte, perché costa 185mila euro eh...), un viaggio in un altro mondo dove qualità e tecnologia la fanno da padrone. Il motore spinge da subito, bello pieno e reattivo, anche nella modalità «normal» nella quale la 911 sembra un'auto comune... quasi da tutti i giorni.
Ma basta posizionare il selettore su Plus o Plus Sport per trasformarla in una belva assetata di sangue. La trasformazione è radicale, si sente anche dall'assetto che incolla ancor di più la vettura al terreno: emozioni da pista vera. Provare per credere.

And it couldn’t be otherwise when stepping aboard the new 911 Targa 4S, a “beast” with all-wheel drive featuring the iconic automatic Targa roof, powered by a 3.0-liter boxer biturbo engine producing 480 horsepower (353 kW). Just starting it up takes you into another dimension: that full-bodied sound fills your ears with horses, even while stationary. It’s a lifestyle choice (aside from the cost, which is €185,000, of course...), a journey into another world where quality and technology reign supreme. The engine immediately pushes forward, full and responsive, even in the “normal” mode, in which the 911 appears to be an everyday car… almost for every day.
But simply shifting the selector to Plus or Plus Sport transforms it into a bloodthirsty beast. The transformation is radical, you can feel it in the suspension, which even more firmly adheres the vehicle to the ground: emotions from a real racing track. Believe it.
