Every now and then, people ask me if I know of any tools that let you create form fields in PDFs, and they complain that there aren’t any free options. It’s true that free solutions are rare, and when they do exist, their functionality is very limited.

However, there is at least one that is not only free but also open-source: PDFCraft.
