Happy to boost toots from #PAG31, but I will not boost toots that are inaccessible due to lacking alt text and/or image description.

Blind & LV folks use screenreading software and it will just say "image" for anything that lacks something useful in the alt text field.

Please make STEM more accessible & give yourself the experience of doing #SciComm by learning how to transcribe and describe your images! @plantscience

I kind of doubt anybody from #PAG31 organizers are on mastodon, but seriously, something has to be done about the wifi. I have a workshop tomorrow that depends on the attendees using the internet.
