This whole country music BS is kinda funny to me. I know a lot of big country acts do not write a lot of their own songs and so I decided to look up this Alden fella.

Based on a simple search, of his hits, he appears to have been credited with co-writing 2 of his 20 something hits.

Comparing that to a few of my favorite bands, almost all written by the band. I am not saying anyone can do music but I am saying there are musicians and there are performers, Alden is a performer, plucked out to sell an image.
