Luckily, PSM rescoring using predicted fragment ion intensities (with tools such as #Prosit, #MS2Rescore, etc.) can significantly improve the immunopeptidomics results over standard sequence database searching. πͺ
Unfortunately, existing fragment ion intensity prediction models have been developed for #Orbitrap instruments. In contrast, #timsTOF instruments are increasingly popular for immunopeptidomics due to their increased sensitivity.
Do you use GC-MS for #botanicals and #essential oils, and are curious about how high-res #orbitrap instruments compare against traditional single quads?
Our lab collaborated with UNC's MS core to produce this interesting study, co-written by our grad student Ellie and my friend and collaborator Diane! A great collaborative team!
