L’état qui dispose du monopole de la puissance publique (puissance « désempouvoirée » largement depuis Chirac-Sarko-Hollande-Macron) va-t-elle avoir l’idée et se donner les moyens d’inciter les FAI à débrancher la 3G et couvrir l’Hexagone à 100 % de #4G ?

Je ne demande pas pour voyager la 5G ni la nouvelle 5.5G.

Juste une 4G fiable et tenable.

Ce serait vachement « français ». Ce serait déjà un accomplissement d’ingénierie et de la Haute-fonction !!!!

Là, j’aimerais une « interdiction » étatique : interdire une bonne fois les trous de couverture.

Le rêve en 2025…

I had a thread somewhere about getting #opnsense to work with an upstream, non-"bridge mode" fiber access point and I want to thank everyone who helped on that. I learned a lot about networking, I learned a lot about to work with a gateway, and ultimately I learned my fiber box DOES have a bridge mode, they just don't call it that and it's buried deeeeeep in the settings (they only call it ONT mode).

Interestingly, I had it sort of working with the gateway before finding the ONT mode (I could ping IPs, but DNS wasn't working). But for #orangetelecom #orange #orangeInternet service, once I enabled ONT mode, I had to setup a VLAN with the tag 832, assign the port the ONT was plugged into as the parent port, then assign the VLAN to the WAN interface. Then reboot my machines because they needed to sort out the new internet settings. But it's all working now!
