Los Smartphones Galaxy S Elegibles para la Actualización One UI 8

Samsung ha revelado qué modelos de la serie Galaxy S recibirán la actualización a One UI 8, basada en Android 16. La lista incluye todos los modelos de las series S25, S24 y S23, además del Galaxy S21 FE.

Samsung ha puesto en marcha la fase beta de One UI 8, su próxima gran actualización basada en Android 16, y ya ha confirmado la lista completa de smartphones de la serie Galaxy S que serán elegibles para recibirla. Como es habitual, la serie Galaxy S25 es la primera en tener acceso a la versión beta y será la primera en recibir la versión estable. Sin embargo, la actualización no se limitará a los modelos más recientes, ya que Samsung continúa cumpliendo su promesa de soporte de software.

La lista completa de smartphones Galaxy S que recibirán la actualización a One UI 8 es la siguiente:

Es importante tener en cuenta que, para los modelos de la serie Galaxy S22 y el Galaxy S21 FE, One UI 8/Android 16 será la última gran actualización del sistema operativo. Aunque estos dispositivos recibirán One UI 8.5, que debutará con la serie Galaxy S26 en 2026, a partir de ese momento solo recibirán actualizaciones de seguridad. Los propietarios de estos teléfonos que deseen seguir recibiendo las últimas versiones de Android y las actualizaciones de funciones de One UI deberán considerar la posibilidad de actualizar a un dispositivo Galaxy más reciente.

One UI 8 Beta 2 is out [Galaxy S24]!

One UI 8 has made a significant appearance, with new features and other improvements. We are very thrilled to announce that Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 8 (build ZYHB), as a Korean beta tester pointed out, that has the following changes:

  • Bugs that have been fixed
    • September security patch applied
    • Fixed lock screen fingerprint charging overlap issue
    • Fixed issue where only the icon is displayed on the lock screen when receiving a notification
    • Fixed issue where the Nowbar team logo at the top of Naver Sports is cut off
    • Fixed issue where the device reboot keyboard text recommendation function is disabled
    • Fixed error applying default font after changing font
    • Fixed issue where the screen freezes and the lock screen is displayed while using the app
    • Fixed time display error in the clock widget
  • Many other improvements

Samsung has confirmed that the official rollout starts September 2025.

One UI 8 for Galaxy S25 and Z Fold7 will feature the new photo watermark!

The new photo watermark feature will make its way to the latest One UI 8 version for the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold7 foldable. While we are awaiting the stable One UI 8 rollout on September, with the fifth beta for the Galaxy S25 being scheduled for this week, the new photo watermark feature has been showcased by PhoneArt on X.

This new photo watermark comes in two styles: landscape and portrait. Below, you can see the two watermark styles, with the top being for portrait images, and the bottom being for landscape images.

As you can see, the images have a border that describes the device used, which, in this case, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It also contains the date and the time the picture was taken, and a bunch of camera parameters used when taking the picture.

Currently, there is no information as to when and what devices will be eligible for this feature, other than the fact that the Galaxy S25 and the Z Fold7 will get it in the latest One UI 8 update. However, it might come to other eligible devices, like the Galaxy S24.
