The task given to #NFDI from the federal and state governments: “The NFDI shall set standards in data management.”
Today, 17 experts from all scientific subject areas, took a giant step forward in the workshop “NFDI-RFC Standardisation Concept” at #KIT in Karlsruhe. Here are two of the questions that we discussed:

At the ELIXIR BioHackathon, NFDI4Chem joined 40+ experts testing mzTab-M with real datasets. 20 successful tool-to-tool exchanges strengthened interoperability and revealed where standards must evolve. A solid step toward FAIR, reproducible MS workflows. 🔬📄

28 Systems architects from all #NFDI consortia, two highly productive days at @gwdg in #Göttingen, one shared goal: To make all NFDI services interoperable by an overall architecture. As an outcome, we now have a blueprint of the overall architecture and many ideas how to flesh it out in future work of the working group overall architecture of NFDI #section-infra.

Both are briefly reminiscing about the now long past days of writing the first project proposals before we turn to today, envisioning a #OneNFDI with close collaborations between the consortia.
Climate change and biodiversity loss have to be tackled together, as is the sustainability of the NFDI consortia and their services.
