since im a very newbie, i have no idea of what are the server and/or fandoms guidelines when it comes to rpf on masto and such?

silly questions maybe but like, are nsfw brainrots and fics okay? do people censor the names and ship names?

i feel like i need to know how do people do to tak and share about ships and headcanons here? you know, when the actual people just turned into your own lil characters into your head and such??

an example is @oldmanyaoi . everyone that follows this guppe group loves yaoi with old guys and thats basically all that's talked about and shared! but there are TONS of other guppes for others interests like crochet, painting, film, music... the sky is the limit! 👴♥️🧓

if there's not already a group for your niche, you can make one very easily! in a post, just @ “@yourgroupnamehere @ a.gup.pe” (no spaces) with whatever you want to name your group. if you build it, they will come

two more tips i have for blorbo noobs! 

1. set up a hashtag relay to see MORE content showing up in your hashtag. let's say theres a specific fandom you're into, but the hashtag you follow isn't picking up much. if you follow the quick & easy steps in this post, you'll see it all! 👁️

2. if you want to schedule posts to set up a queue similar to tumblr, you can do this by downloading an app that supports queueing

1. it's not art theft
2. it's not about underage characters (more nuance https://blorbo.social/about )

For friends and enemies on Aethy, freaksonly, or other media-rejected instances: please use alt text if you can! Especially those migrating back because of the good mews ❤️

Even just a couple words like "drawing of huge boobs" is AMAZING - it helps us on Blorbo see what images y'all are posting, since we can't load the image preview.

Examples of what images from media-rejected instances look like for us on Blorbo (using Tusky Nightly, may look different on different clients). Hell, this is what Blorbo (or other non-rejected) posts look like when I have bad internet and can't load images too. And boy do I have bad internet often!

I am much more likely to share and reply to your beautiful post if I know what the image is before clicking it, especially because sometimes the image doesn't even load when I click it!

Remember to customize your filters and keep anything you don't like out of sight and out of mind. Filters take into account not just the text on your post, but also text in the content wrapper AND the attached media's alt text!  I love Mastodon's filter function.

For artists that do commissions and may be looking for a platform with freedom of adult art (what with shutdowns and TOS crackdowns of other sites), Artconomy seems like a cool platform.

The TOS is fairly open in art 'must be legal content in Texas' and 'must be tagged accurately so it can be filtered' and 'must have the proper content rating set.'

This means NSFW/harder kink is allowed. So you can post kink art that may not be allowed on Blorbo.

The focus is furry art, but humans and otherwise are allowed. I completed a commission on Artconomy and found it easy n smooth.

I hope we can put our eggs in many baskets, and use sites like Artconomy in addition to our personal sites and social media 💖
