I’m curious if there is broader awareness of the #Windsor #Salt strike which is now in its fifth month. The impasse seems to have garnered little news coverage outside of Windsor despite its impact upon #workers (of course) and the wider available of salt products, particularly water softener salt. I’m at the other end of #Ontario and here all retailers are currently sold out, even of other brands. #ONbiz

At a rally on Thursday, hundreds of workers — including Unifor members and retirees from other mines in Ontario and Nova Scotia — showed their support for more than 250 workers of Windsor Salt currently on strike. Workers are represented by Unifor Locals 240 and 1959.
Is anyone looking into #DougFord and monitoring how wasteful his klan is with our money? He manages to run the most expensive #Ontario government year after year despite massive cuts to healthcare, education, the environment, and more. How?
His #Volkswagen deal is a good example. Ontario taxpayers are on the hook in direct subsidy for $167,000 for each job created. Let that sink in. That’s on top of subsidized electricity rates and handouts from the feds. #ONpoli #ONbiz
Marketplace has been investigating the hidden fees tacked onto consumers’ bills at hotels, restaurants and attractions in Niagara Falls, Ont., and has found the fees continue to increase with little oversight or regulation.
Well, this is interesting. Dead or near-dead brand attempting a comeback on a small scale now. Who knows what's next?
