Has anyone ever come across one of these? I believe it is called a Noüy ring tensiometer. One of my year 12 students brought it in to school the day after a lesson on the biological importance of the properties of water. It used to belong to my student's grandad. It's missing the wire and the ring needed to make it work - but we're going to have a go.
