New post and old Roblox thing!
I published the script for that old Roblox video tutorial I plan to make, so even though there's no video and it's still a pretty solid resource. Not much info on this stuff online, so hopefully I can change that one drop at a time?
I also published it for motivation reasons - releasing bits at a time encourages me to keep going. Because I know if I start working on an actual video I will get lazy and stop.. oh well.
Enjoy!
Today I finally started drafting a big video tutorial on developing old Roblox games, so you'll be guided through making a simple game from almost-scratch. Here's the end result, and now I have to go over the script I wrote again .. make the game from scratch again and record it, this is gonna be a process lol.
Basically, in the tutorial you make a custom weapon tool, a leaderboard, and a system where random disasters and events occur at times. I've never made tutorials, so I'm just winging it.
(the events are sped up for debugging)
i made quick time events in old roblox
(for a project i'm working on)
Been working on a project with some friends for a YouTube channel about tutorials with old versions of Roblox. They finished the first video go check it out!!
We're trying to make tutorial videos with humor and aren't totally dry and boring, so I'd like to know your thoughts.

Old Roblox players, have you played this game before? (Lando64000's Hide and Seek)
I was messing around with the old, early-2010 Roblox Studio (Thanks to #Novetus) and I was shocked by plenty of stuff, like how BasePart didn't have a "TouchEnded" event.
I knew there were going to be differences between old and new Roblox when it came to development, but I was not expecting that honestly.
I tried Novetus yesterday and I love it. It is nice when there are stuff like this for future players to get a taste of old Roblox.
