Norfolk Southern <a href="https://www.reuters.com/companies/NSC.N" target="_blank">(NSC.N)</a> said on Tuesday it will establish a fund to reimburse homeowners who live near the site of a Feb. 3 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio who sell their homes for less than what the property was worth before the incident.
Nice to see the Justice Department go after Norfolk Southern over the poor handling of the enviromental cleanup over that train derailment in Ohio. They are not above the law.
As expected, the Ohio derailment is having dire consequences. Shouldn’t have removed that regulation that would force freight rail companies to upgrade the brakes.

#NorfolkSouthern has apparently been going door to door in #EastPalestine offering to test people's water after the #OhioDerailment, but then getting them to sign a contract stating that they waive all right to legal action against the company without them realizing that's what's happening.
After a week after the #OhioDerailment , it’s finally getting on the news nationally. Why it took so long for them to notice something that serious about fright train companies cutting corners to make more money.
