Auch nicht dass die #Hamas eine #terrororganization ist (was sie ist!), und auch nicht der #Trerror des #oct7massacre (der ebenfalls unentschuldbar ist)

This piece has some mild detail on the allegations against UNRWA. At least 190 employees who've doubled as Islamic Jihad or Hamas militants, at least 12 of who directly participated in the October 7th massacre.

Deeply weird organisation in urgent need of reform, but it's also the primary delivery vehicle for aid and education through its permanent 'refugee camps' — which are the only alternative to Hamas's services.

The UNRWA is a deeply strange organisation in urgent need of reform.

Germany paused funding for the organisation after reports that its staff were involved in holding Israeli hostages in their homes. Australia, the US, and Canada are now pausing funding after reports that UNRWA staff *directly participated* in the October 7th massacre.

Something about staring into the abyss comes to mind.
