The lizard seemed to flinch at the name, bringing flaming wings around to batter at the Queen even as she held it firm. She didn’t even blink. “I name you: Firebird. I name you: Phoenix.” One sharp pull dragged the creatures head towards Mother, and she took hold of it with both hands. “Extinguish.”

Well, today was an excellent example of my compression gloves actually helping - I did one 20-minute sprint without them and oh boy, that sucked.

Still behind by about 2k words but I can get back on track for sure.
